Be Smart Tutoring LLC was founded in 2014 with one goal in mind: to develop a caring, peaceful, engaging educational environment following brain research and best teaching practices.
We are a Pre-K through grade 10 homeschool and tutoring service provider teaching small group, holistic learning. We offer full and part time homeschool options, tutoring and summer camp. We can help you achieve your educational goals for your child. We are certified teachers who have worked in public and private schools who want children to enjoy school and learning, while celebrating childhood.
Our tutoring sessions are focused on helping our students take ownership of their learning, and we strive to build confidence and enthusiasm in each of our students.
Be Smart Tutoring is the premier tutoring service in the St Petersburg area. Founded by Blush Gorsen, a veteran public and private school educator and USF honors graduate.
Our Founder
In 1997, our founder Blush Gorsen embarked on a journey with children, sparked by a role as a field trip guide at Great Explorations Children's Museum.
Her passion for education flourished, culminating in an honors degree in Elementary Education from USF and SPC in 2003, with a minor in biology. She has had a distinguished career with Pinellas County Schools.
In 2013, fueled by relocation, new motherhood, and business management expertise, Blush established Be Smart Tutoring. The "B" in Be Smart reflects Blush's mission for every child to feel smart, love learning, and thrive in a peaceful environment.
